Dr. Camille Taylor Passes Away
New York - On Sunday July 12, 2009 Dr. Camille Taylor quietly passed away while recovering at a hospital in New York. Dr. Taylor was the founder of the Black Music Caucus Gospel Choir Competitions. The longest running school gospel choir competition in the country. Since 1977 Dr. Taylor has been providing school gospel choirs an opportunity to express themselves musically through gospel music. The funeral will be at the Knotts Funeral Chapel in Sanford, North Carolina on Sunday July 19, 2009. For the last several years Dr. Taylor continued the Competitions while under very serious health risk due to his failing heart condition.
